Meet the Team

Bao Nguyen

Founder & Executive President

My passion for medicine is rooted in my experiences as an immigrant and caregiver in a family affected by chronic neurological conditions that shaped my commitment to improving healthcare access and education. Working as a medical assistant and alongside the Department of Neurological Surgery, I gained insight into the importance of early prevention and long-term chronic care in improving patient health. I have led multiple free medical workshops to promote educational equity, providing underserved students with hands-on clinical exposure and guidance into healthcare careers. Through Neuro Nosh, I aim to expand accessible medical education, mentorship, and community health initiatives to empower future healthcare leaders and support underserved communities.

Lauryn Lee

Executive Vice President

My love and devotion for medicine is rooted towards serving underserved individuals who are not able to access essential and effective healthcare for themselves, specifically low-income or rural communities. Working as a medical intern and metacognition research assistant, I am directly interacting with patients admitted to the UC Davis Epilepsy Monitoring Unit to administer cognitive tasks and neuropsychological assessments with the overall goal of treatment for memory disorders. In addition, I have led and helped mentor free clinical workshops by teaching students foundational clinical skills, professionalism, and exposure to diverse fields of healthcare. Through Neuro Nosh, I am dedicated towards expanding the mission for free medical education, available mentorship, and overall community belonging as we fight to impact the next generation of healthcare leaders and help the underserved communities.

Michelle Fan

Executive Secretary

My interest in healthcare comes from my experience as a first-generation college student navigating the pre-health pathway without clear guidance, sparking my commitment to expanding access to health education and mentorship. As an EMT who often transports patients to hospice care facilities, I have witnessed the deeply human aspects of medicine where difficult conversations are at the heart of compassionate care. These experiences have shaped my growing passion for clinical ethics and informed decision-making in healthcare. Through Neuro Nosh, I aim to make health education more accessible and create spaces where people can learn both about the clinical and ethical dimensions of medicine.

Kunsh Bharadia

Executive Treasurer

I joined Neuro Nosh because I genuinely believe learning should be free and accessible to everyone, not something limited by background or resources. Even though I’m not from a medical field, through my experience, I’ve seen how financial knowledge is often overlooked, so I want to help students understand things like daily budgeting and how to realistically plan for something as expensive as medical school. For me, it’s about making knowledge practical and usable, not just theoretical and Neuro Nosh is the kind of space where I can actually do that while contributing to something bigger.

Katrina Le

Executive Outreach

It is important to me that healthcare access and education are accessible to all underprivileged and underserved communities, specifically families and the elderly. I have firsthand experience with how it can be a struggle to navigate a healthcare system without knowing how to do so. Especially those from immigrant families and backgrounds, where English creates a significant barrier in receiving proper healthcare. With Neuro Nosh, my wish is to help as many people and communities as I can by providing personalized support through workshops, education, etc.

Jayden Sawhney

Medical Workshop Officer

I have always been fascinated with the medical field; growing up with it shaped how I viewed life and gave me a clear goal with a way to achieve it. I want to be able to help provide that same inspiration, along with access to resources, to others from what I had growing up. As an EMT, BLS instructor, and someone who loves teaching about first aid, I want to teach as many people basic medical knowledge as possible. I believe that a more informed society is a safer one — the more people who have access to medical knowledge, the more lives can be saved, and the less likely misinformation is to spread. There are many events where people are in an emergency, but do the wrong things because of misinformed education by social media, or simply lack the knowledge. I aim to create accessibility to these resources by creating a more informed society, in the hopes of more lives being saved.
